STL Says Goodbye to CPS Intern Maurye Vann.

STL has been pleased to host Maurye Vann, a 17 year-old senior at Chicago’s Morgan Park High School. Maurye is part of the Chicago Public Schools Internship Program.

Maurye paid his dues to the work of architecture through 6 weeks of training in all aspects of STL’s business. Maurye worked on architectural projects such as drafting, modeling and helped with materials library filing and worked with industry software such as Photoshop and AutoCAD. He also got the chance to assist with work in the IT and marketing departments to gain a feel of what it takes to run an architecture firm beyond the designing aspects.

STL is dedicated to working with Chicago area schools not only on building projects, but to be a tool for schools to give their students a real world experience as they are moving out of the school system into their career path and higher education.
