As the new headquarters for a company in continuous expansion this building needed to radiate a strong and determined presence in the area. The building mass was divided into three distinct volumes reflecting the complex programmatic requirements which demanded large areas without any exterior openings and interdepartmental spatial connectivity. To the east a large open facade directs the building core components towards the city of Chicago and provides a visual connection to the busy air traffic patterns initiating at O’Hare International Airport. The building is clad in limestone and the interior palette is dominated by cherry stained anagre wood panels and continuous terrazzo flooring.
