Fernando Olvera, LEED AP
Designer
Fernando continues to build on his earlier architectural experience by embracing new design concepts such as spatial, tectonic, syntactical and visual considerations. These models are vital qualities that are noticeably missing from architecture in this era, where logistics of order, vertical structure and façade are only considered essential. Additionally, by analyzing this subject matter through simulations, rapid prototyping, 3-dimensional and physical modeling his research has led to designing complex adaptive systems that enlarge the space of possibility for contemporary design and computation. At STL, Fernando is involved with various projects including GSA, Harris Bank, PBC and Design Competitions.
He received his Master of Architecture at the University of California at Los Angeles and his B.A. in Architectural Studies at the University of Illinois at Chicago. Fernando is an avid fan of surfing, golfing and running road races.
