This mixed use tower features residential units, office spaces and retail. The location of the building along the expressway was a key, determinant feature in the design off the buildings facade concept.
The building offers itself to the growing southwest loop neighborhood in a language that is coherent with the numerous older structures that are located in its immediate surrounding. The use of brick and large format window openings in an almost industrial fashion are aiming to pay tribute to the daylight factories, and light industrial building’s of the turn of the 20th Century.
In contrast, the facade that is open to the south and the highway unfold into a glassy, faceted and segmented facade that aims to provide the building with a sparkling and colorful mention of the wonderfully impressionistic Chicago sunsets.
