Read Dunning Salt Dome
The salt dome is designed for a minimum capacity of 25,000 tons of salt storage. The overall
shape of the concrete dome is spherical. The dome is constructed with an air-formed membrane
as the formwork for a reinforced concrete structure. The concrete construction of the dome has
been designed to withstand impact from machinery used by 2FM for the loading and unloading of
salt from the dome.
