AIA DISTINGUISHED BUILDING AWARD
The Lycee established ambitious objectives for the project, desiring to create a campus with a bold and inspiring design within the constraints of financial frugality. The design takes advantage of a large urban site in which to accommodate an academic campus environment with two independent but connected pavilions for academic functions and performance arts. The campus also includes recreational areas and a soccer field.
This 86,000 sf project is located in the Lincoln Square neighborhood of Chicago, an urban and dense
enclave with intense community activities. The Lycée Français is a pre-K through 12th grade building designed
for a population of 800 students. The program includes state of the Art Classrooms, an Atrium and extensive
Athletic Facilities. The project is LEED certified.
